“Airlie Excavations” has a long-standing history in the Whitsundays. Prior to 2011, we were known as “Airlie Bobcat”, change of ownership also saw our name change to “Airlie Tipper Hire and Excavations”, and 2020 saw a change to "Airlie Excavations" Pty Ltd!

Over the years our owners and equipment have changed however our outstanding service to the region has remained our pride. We are dedicated to providing a wide range of competitive services to the domestic, commercial, construction and civil industries earth moving needs.

Our current owners are a locally based family for 20+ years, loving its beauty we have not being able to leave.

Our primary goal is not to be the biggest in our industry, we just want to be the best at what we do as we believe our customers deserve the best 

Scott has over 20 years of experience in our current industry with the ambition and dream of being a business owner finally becoming a reality in 2015. With his history in operating and civil works, we have an extensive background in all aspects of the industry. Safety is believed to be a vital component our industry, this coming from previous rolls as the safety supervisor for many years. Having roles such as “Onsite Manager” and “Safety Officer” jumping into business owner shoes felt like a natural transition, as well as for filling a dream, for Scott.

Regardless of the project size “Airlie Excavations" will work with our clients to ensure complete satisfaction and a competitive price. 

Scott is a man of many trades, allowing him to see multiple aspects to one job. He completed apprenticeships in Horticulture, Agriculture, and Steel fabrication along the before finally pursuing his dream of becoming an Excavator (plus many other plant machines) operator.

Starting at the bottom as a labour with duties, including; Pipe laying (storm water, sewer, water connections, power, phone); Pit Construction; Concreting; Road Construction; Grade Checking; Roller Operations. Scott obtained his tickets and moved on to larger projects in higher positions. 

Over the most recent years we have worked with larger companies helping them create power stations, repair the main highways and and keep the agriculture business in the region running.
